On February 2, 2004, “Antarjyoti of Pondicherry” organized a rally in Karaikal attended by about 400 women from various organizations, mostly from coastal fishing community.

Addressing the rally, Shri Himendra Thakur, Founder President of “Antarjyoti” said: “I am an old man, my own mother is gone. You are my mother now.”

They all came forward to shake hands with him. That was the beginning of closeness of “Antarjyoti” with people at grass-root level in India.

With strength from spiritual teachings, “Antarjyoti” will strive to change the mindset of people.
